Combine painting, cuisine and crafts in Europe. Roberta Kritzia invites painters, photographers,
non-artists and spouses to join her on 5 various tours to Italy & Scandinavia.
Noted art instructors lead the art tours, each in a different medium, with individualized instructions, demonstrations & critiques. Roberta Kritzia will lead the “Explore & Shop-Till-You-Drop” tour.
Departures for Umbria & Tuscany:
September 4 — September 15 with Oil painting instructor Anita Hampton.
September 18 — September 29 with Oil painting instructor Cynthia Britain.
We will visit Todi, Ruins of Carsulae, Norcia, Lake Trasimeno, Florence, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena and Deruta. A farmhouse lunch will be prepared for the tours and both groups will enjoy a gourmet lunch in the forest.
There will be painting demonstrations by the art instructors along with scheduled critiques of the participant’s work. Non-artists will be able to photograph and explore the medieval hilltowns.
Cost of each of these two tours is $2,995 per person.
Departure for Tuscany, Umbria & Venice:
June 26 — July 7 with painting instructor Virginia O’Neill.
June 26 — July 7 “Explore & Shop-Till-You-Drop” with Roberta Kritzia.
This tour is a Multi-level tour – Virginia O’Neil takes arists to painting sites & Roberta Kritzia takes non-artists exploring and shopping.
The group’s visit includes Siena, Florence, Gubbio & 5 days in Venice.
Sample the cuisine of Tuscany and taste Vernaccia wine. A sumptuous gourmet meal with regional dishes of Gubbio has been scheduled. Pastel painting demonstrations for the artists, with art instructor Virginia O’Neill. The “Shoppers-Till-You-Drop’ers” will be taken by Roberta Kritzia to exciting places which feature wonderful crafts & gifts. One participant, Peggy Giovinazzo, who is taking her 4th tour with Roberta Kritzia, said “I would’nt miss this experience for anything as exciting as going with Roberta, benefitting by her 15 years of travel experience in going to Italy.
Visit the ceramic studio of an Etruscan “Bucchero” craftsman in Gubbio. This program includes a guided walking tour of the San Marco area. The group will board a train north to the foot of the Italian Alps, to paint, sketch and explore Bassano del Grappa. A vaporetto boat will take the group to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torchello to spend the day sketching and painting. Cost is $3,195 per person.
Departure for Scandinavia:
July 10 — July 21 to Denmark & Sweden with sketching and painting instructor Glenn Vilppu.
“On the Trails of Anders Zorn, Carl Larsson & P. S. Kroyer”.
See the painter’s works from the “Golden Era” of Scandinavian art. Visit the studios of noted Swedish illustrator Carl Larsson and famous Swedish painter Anders Zorn. Sketch and paint and explore Skagen, Mora, Sunborn and Copenhagen. Bicycle the quaint streets of Skagen and visit the white sand dunes at Grenen, the most northern point of Denmark, where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea merge. Cost is $3,245 per person.
Cost of all tours includes art instruction, hotels, double occupancy, private bus-transportation, all breakfasts, some meals and airport group transfers. Airfare is extra.
